He also raced on the CU national cycling team my junior and senior
years. We won the D1 National Title his senior year in Lawrence, KS. Since college Rolf has raced in a number of NRC stage races such as Tour of Gila, Cascade Classic, Mt. Hood Stage Race, Tour of Utah,
Nature Valley Grand Prix, Univest Grand Prix and a few nationals, both crit and road. Other notable races/results would be King of the Mountain at the Green Mountain Stage race 08 and Mt Evans hill climb 4th in 2007. During the off seasons he has enjoyed long bike tours down in Mexico with friends. This past season Rolf won 7 races and had the opportunity to race with some of the best cyclists in the world. During all the training and racing he has managed to earn a Master in Public Health, which he now use to promote cycling at the population level. He is one of Louisville’s Bike and Pedestrian Coordinators. This coming year is very exciting, as Rolf embarks on a new adventure this upcoming June; marriage.2005 collegiate national champion |
