| Alan Antonuk (age 26) started racing back in undergrad at Michigan State in 2003 doing mostly mountain biking, but didn't get serious about the road biking until spring of 2007 when Greg Christian (2009 RGF Sports Team Member) who came to MSU for grad school took it upon himself to help coach the riders who thought they'd get good by going and killing themselves day-in and day-out. Unfortunately, that season wasn't long as he shipped out to Washington to do an internship at Microsoft for the summer. In 2008, Alan joined up with the Trails Edge Cycling team and earned his Cat 3 license and being the Trails Edge Cat 3 team, managed to earn enough points by the end of the season to upgrade to Cat 2. For 2009, Alan set his goals to race with a team instead of flying solo to every race, and he joined with the Essex Brass Cycling Team, and had a great season, again earning enough points to attain an upgrade, this time to Cat 1. |

| Career Highlights:
This year my biggest accomplishments were coming up to the Cat 1 & 2 races and making a splash right away. West Branch: escaping with Tim Farnam and staying away for nearly 60 miles to take 2nd, escaping again with 5 others at Malliot June and taking 3rd, taking 3rd in the Road Race in Tour of the Valley, bridging up to the break at Debaet-Devos to take 5th. The one Im most proud of for 2009 was bridging to the break in the second day at Elk Grove and taking 18th. |
